Reality is having an active health insurance policy can make a significant difference in the care you receive. Affordable Florida health insurance is not easy to find.
The wrong expectations - Although, many consumers are starting to understand that Florida health insurance can be very expensive, there are still some health insurance plans that offer low deductibles and having everything covered with just a small co-pay. But finding it is the hard part, you will need to set priorities and budgets when shopping for a Florida health insurance plan as there are so many of them and the combination that fits your priorities and budget is what you need to sign up for.
Use a plan with a prescription deductible - Florida health insurance carriers are going to really soak you for the prescription coverage. Most generics are fairly inexpensive and by having a deductible for prescriptions, you will save a lot of money on premiums. In case some terrible illness strikes, you will still have the prescription coverage once you meet the deductible. Statistically, this is a great place for almost everyone to save money.
When possible, stay away from association plans - These plans are not native Florida plans and permit the insurance company to play games with your premium increases each year. Over time, you will pay a lot more. Ask the agent if it is an association plan and what state governs the plan. The answers you want to hear are "no" and "Florida".
Florida Health Insurance Priorities - Your first priority should be to cover major illnesses and accidents. If necessary, most of you can probably pay for a doctor visit or prescription. But, it is the hospital bills or prolonged illnesses that push us over the top. You need to first focus on covering the catastrophic bills.
And finally Find a good agent - you do not want to deal with anyone who represents just one company. The plans that require the agent to be captive (represent only their plan) are not generally the best plans available. Make sure they can offer you a variety of health insurance plans from different carriers that sell insurance in Florida.

Why is it better for your Health Insurance Needs to get off COBRA

Why you need to get off COBRA ASAP
The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) gives workers and their families who lose their health benefits the right to choose to continue group health benefits provided by their group health plan for limited periods of time under certain circumstances such as voluntary or involuntary job loss, reduction in the hours worked, transition between jobs, death, divorce, and other life events.
You will not want to be in COBRA Coverage for long durations of time. Following are some of the key reasons why you need to get off COBRA ASAP.
· Qualified individuals may be required to pay the entire premium for coverage up to 102 percent of the cost to the plan.
· Premium payments. After you elect COBRA, you have to pay the first premium within 45 days. And that first premium is likely to be high because it covers the period retroactive to the date coverage ended through your employer.
· Moving. If you relocate out of your COBRA health plan's coverage area, you will lose your COBRA benefits; the employer is not required to offer you a plan in your new area.
· Premium notices. Neither the health plan nor the employer are required to send you monthly premium notices, so make sure you pay attention to due dates.
· Conversion plans. If the health plan offers the option of converting from a group plan to an individual policy under COBRA, you must be given that option and allowed to convert within 180 days before COBRA ends. But you'll pay individual, not group, rates, and switching to individual coverage could weaken any HIPAA protections you have.
· Premium costs. Your premiums can be increased if the costs of the health plan increase for everyone at the workplace.
Eligibility isn't the only issue to consider when it comes to COBRA. Cost is another major factor. If you have no pre-existing conditions and decide against COBRA, you can still consider buying individual insurance or even a short-term major medical policy to tide you over until you land a new job with health benefits

Insurance - Drunk Driver Ruins Financial Future

Clyde and Claudette’s financial future is now ruined! Make sure it doesn’t happen to you. These tips will help you protect yourself from the time-bomb that devastated them.
I talked with Clyde and his wife, Claudette, recently. In fact, Clyde brought his son to one of my popular financial seminars so he could learn to avoid the mistakes his father had made.
Everything had been going great for Clyde and Claudette—he had a secure job with excellent benefits. Their home was almost paid for. Their kids were doing well in school. Life and their future looked bright.
Then one day, Claudette was driving home from the store just like she always did. A drunk driver speeding in her direction hit a car on his side of the road, careened off of it, jumped across the median and plowed into Claudette’s car.
In just seconds Clyde’s and Claudette’s lives were forever changed. Luckily she wasn’t killed. But she is permanently handicapped. As often happens, the police never caught the drunk driver. Their medical bills quickly mounted and they soon discovered their financial weakest link—they only had $50,000 of uninsured motorist coverage in their auto policy.
How much uninsured motorist coverage do you have? How much medical and liability coverage is in your automobile policy? If you’re like most people, you probably don’t even know. And it could be a ticking time-bomb waiting to devastate your financial future.
Clyde and Claudette were lucky to be able to pay most of their immediate medical bills, but only after they had to go to court, sue their insurance company, and pay out a big chunk of their $50,000 in lawyers’ fees.
But what about their future? Claudette will never be able to work again and the cost of caring for her increased medical needs will continue for the rest of her life. Their financial future is ruined.
It didn’t have to be that way. The financial devastation that occurred could have been easily prevented if they had increased their coverage amount. It would have only cost them pennies each day. Instead, it cost them much more.
I wish I had met them sooner. I might have been able to help prevent their financial devastation. It’s too late for them, but it’s not for you. Sit down with a qualified property and casualty agent and review your automobile and homeowners insurance policies to make sure that the coverage is adequate.
If you are like most people, it has probably been several years since you’ve done so. Your situation or damage awards in your state could have changed since then. Perhaps you don’t need as much insurance as you did in the past, perhaps you need more. Isn’t it worth a phone call to your agent to find out?
It was for me. I recently was able to switch insurance companies, increase my coverage limits and keep my premiums the same. The point is, it only takes a little time to make sure you and your family is properly covered, and it doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg to do so.
You should also consider an umbrella liability policy. It provides blanket liability protection in addition to that offered by your automobile and homeowners policies. I especially recommend them to my Private Wealth Management clients that are doctors because they are prone to lawsuits. I recommend them if you have a swimming pool or trampoline or if you own a potentially hazardous recreational vehicle such as a boat, jet-ski, or ATV.
Take these simple steps to make sure you don’t make the same mistake Clyde and Claudette did:
1) Make an appointment to have your property and casualty insurance policies reviewed. 2) Consider an umbrella liability policy if you don’t currently have one.3) Consider increasing your deductibles to lower your premiums.4) Call around and compare rates from different carriers.
This is just one area where your financial weakest link may be hiding. For more information on how to improve your overall financial situation go to www.guardingyourwealth.com. While there, be sure to tell us your story. It may even be the subject of a future article so others can keep from making the same mistakes.

Get Contents Insurance Today

Insuring contents is the last thing on most people’s minds when they rent their first home or apartment. Many renters assume that the insurance covering the building will automatically cover their personal items as well. It often takes a tragedy, like a fire or a break in, for most renters to discover the truth.
Getting content insurance is important for renters, and it is usually not that expensive. A quick search on the internet or through the phone book will uncover hundreds of insurance companies eager to take your premium. If you have other insurance, car or life, then it could benefit you to go through that same company for your content insurance. Most companies offer a multi-policy discount when you purchase more than one type of insurance through them.
Documenting the contents is just as important as buying the content insurance. A new business is emerging for just this type of situation. You can find companies that will video tape all your content and store the information in a separate location incase there is a devastating event at your home. You can also find books and folders that allow you to record what you have in each room, along with dates of purchase, purchase prices, and product numbers.
What ever direction you take to record your contents it is also important to update your records on a regular basis. The best way to do it is to add anything you bring into your home as you bring it in. If that is too burdensome, then you might consider a regular walk through (monthly, twice a year, or at least yearly) to see what is new and what is no longer within your personal belongings.
Finding the right policy for contents insurance is not that difficult. Use the company you already have, ask friends and family, or shop online. Don’t wait to insure, or it could be too late.

Florida Health Insurance Presents: Purchasing Health Insurance Online

Purchasing Health Insurance Online is something that has been observed to have a growing trend since the whole Internet era really started picking up in late 2000. And in the past 7 years, a growing number of consumers prefer to purchase health insurance online.
The numbers of health insurance providers selling online health insurance has raised drastically and many providers have added the functionality to sell health insurance making it easy for online consumers to get them. Online tools also provide compare reports between best fit insurance plans and this helps the consumers to debate and decide which plan to pick all online with out having to call multiple times on the phone.
Individuals have the benefit of filling and getting a approved insurance plan online and go completely paperless, but some service providers have limitations they require users to download the application after filling the form and sign and fax it over, thus making it not really an online application but a two step process.
Privacy policy and HIPAA compliance are one of the major areas of concern when it comes to online health insurance plans. And many health insurance providers are working towards making sure that they are providing the online service, which is absolutely HIPAA compliant and is safe and secure for consumers to input their information on an online form. Insurance providers are liable for any loss of information and any mis-use of information entered on their sites, and are not allowed to sell the information. And in this day and age it is standard practice and best practice for all online health insurance providers to be compliant on these issues.
Another benefit of online health insurance is consumers can find it easy to determine if providers important to them are in the network of a health plan they are considering. Online consumers can also request a quote and compare multiple health care plans, to check and see which plan fits their requirement the best

How to Find a Top Home Owner Insurance Company

There are certain factors home owners look for when selecting a home owner insurance company. They want adequate coverage, and they want it at an affordable price. They want additional coverage options that won’t turn the affordably priced policy into unaffordable. Finally, they want all of this from a reputable and financially secure home owner insurance company.
The way to get everything you want – the way to find the top home owner insurance company – is to start from the bottom up. Find the reputable and financially secure home owner insurance company and everything else – the great coverage, the affordable rates – will fall into place.
So, how do you find this top home owner insurance company?
Begin by contacting your state’s department of insurance. The insurance department can provide you with a list of names and contact information of home owner insurance companies licensed to do business in your state. Once you know which companies to choose from, you can find their financial ratings. The ratings of home owner insurance companies are provided by independent research companies.
Now that you have a list of home owner insurance companies licensed to sell insurance in your state, and are financially secure, it’s time to do some foot work. If you want to find the top home owner insurance company, start talking to your family members, friends, co-workers, and neighbors. Someone out of those groups of people will undoubtedly own a home, have a home owner’s insurance policy, and have a home owner insurance company they can recommend. If those companies match up with your state’s department of insurance, as well as boast high financial ratings, you’ve found yourself reputable home owner insurance companies.
Finally, contact these home owner insurance companies. Find out what they need in order to determine an insurance quote for your home, and then get the coverage options and price of the quote from your top home owner insurance company!

Health Insurance for the Recent College Graduate

As you graduate college and head into the great, big, scary world, there are probably a lot of things on your mind. First and foremost is finding a good job, then finding a place to live, and then maybe figuring out how to pay back those student loans. One thing that might not cross your mind is health insurance. All of your life, you’ve most likely been a dependent on your parents’ coverage, but that ship is about to sail—if it hasn’t already.
We know what you’re thinking, “Why do I need health insurance? I’m young, I’m healthy, and doctor visits are few and far between. So why pay for something I’ll never use?” Hey, we understand where you’re coming from. But accidents and illnesses happen without warning, even to the strapping young adults such as you. Sure, health insurance is expensive, but not having it will cost you dearly.
First things to know
Let’s get one thing straight, health care in the United States is a nightmare, few will argue that. There are thousands of options when it comes to receiving care and paying for it, some of them good, some of them not so much. When it comes to choosing an insurance policy that’s right for you, confusion abounds. So let’s learn a little more about your options.
There are two essential categories of health insurance: managed care and indemnity plans. Though you’ll pay more for indemnity coverage, it offers much more flexibility than does a managed care plan. Through indemnity coverage, you’ll have your choice of doctor, lab, hospital or specialty clinic. When you seek medical care, you’ll have to pay an out of pocket expense—called a deductible—before your coverage will kick in. Deductibles range from a few hundred dollars up to $1,000 or more, depending on your policy. Also, indemnity plans require a co-payment on medical care; meaning you’ll be responsible for a percentage of the treatment costs along with your deductible. Generally, indemnity plans pay only for accidents or illness; they usually don’t cover preventative care.
Managed care is the complete opposite of indemnity coverage. Deductibles are usually smaller, co-payments are lower, and preventative care is usually covered. Your options, however, are limited. Through a managed care plan, you can only choose between health care providers who are contracted by your health maintenance organization. If you go elsewhere, you pay—the full amount. Since that’s a pretty rough deal, many managed care plans are offering hybrid options that include many of the desirable characteristics of an indemnity plan.
Which way to go
If you find a job that offers health insurance and you’re single, take it. It may not be perfect, but it beats anything you can find on your own. When you sign up through your employer, you’ll probably be confronted with many options. Take a good, long look at them and ask for help from a human resources representative if need be, but make sure you choose the plan that’s right for you. Chances are—if you’re young and healthy— you’ll want a plan with a low premium and higher deductible. Look for a plan that minimizes your out-of-pocket expenses. When it comes to choosing between and indemnity plan or a managed care plan, you may or may not have a choice depending on your employer. Both offer advantages and disadvantages, so make sure to crunch the numbers before committing to one or the other.
Make yourself a deal
Though health insurance is a costly part of our lives, there are ways to save. If you’re self-employed, shop around before you commit to a plan. If you’re under 50 and in good health, insurance companies will want your business, and cut rates are to be had. Also, take advantage of breaks from Uncle Sam. The self-employed can write off up to 45 percent of their insurance premiums. Some employers offer flexible spending accounts, where you can pay for premiums and costs not covered by insurance with cash that isn’t subject to taxes.
If you’re married and your spouse also can get coverage from their employer, weigh your options carefully. It might benefit you financially and coverage-wise if you measure the pros and cons of separate coverage, double coverage, or one of you opting out of your work’s plan and enrolling in the other’s.
Finally, if you’ve been healthy and believe you can get by with minimum health coverage, look into purchasing “catastrophic coverage”. This indemnity policy offers extremely low premiums, but deductibles can be very high—up to $2,500. Coverage is extremely limited to “catastrophic” events, which you’ll need to learn all about.

Why You Should Buy Health Insurance

For those who are self employed or have a job with no health benefits buying health insurance is a good idea. If you have health insurance you can cover yourself and your family. In case you don't have it, you take a risk. You really need to get health insurance in case you suffer from chronic health conditions and you need regular health care. If you are one of those healthy people who don't suffer from anything, you are lucky but yet you need to buy health insurance because it covers accidents and anything else that might happen to you. Imagine something happens and you have no health insurance, then you will have to pay huge bills for medical care. You can easily avoid all that by choosing one of the many reasonably priced plans available to people with different health needs.
If you hop online you will see how easy it is to buy health insurance. All it takes is to visit this website- ehealthinsurance.com and check the sampling of quotes from different health insurance carriers based on gender, age and smoking history. You can get quotes for individuals, couples, families and even small groups. After that you will get all the insurers' offers displayed with estimated monthly premiums listed. You can also compare the benefits the reputable insurers offer. In case you consider yourself a healthy person, it is best for you to get the plans with the higher deductibles and co-pays which have a lower monthly premium. This is what you should consider carefully before you decide to buy health insurance.
If you want to ensure yourself and your family then you've got only one option and this is to buy health insurance. If you are not exactly sure what to do and you are a bit confused, then why not do a little research first. Check the site of the Agency for Health Care policy and Research at www.ahcpr.gov and find the answers. When you've already chosen the best policy for you, then you should complete a health history questionnaire. You will have to pay a small application fee and provide the health information which is required. Once you do this you will have to wait so that your application is reviewed and then you can have your actual premium determined. Applying for and buying health insurance online is not a difficult process, so give it a try. If you have any questions, there is customer support staff available. Don't hesitate any more, just do it, buy health insurance.

Dental Insurance For Better Dental Health

Dental diseases are the most common and prevalent diseases affecting almost everybody in the world. Today the cost of dental treatment is enormous.

Treatments to treat these dental diseases are of two types, occasional and routine. Occasional dental treatments include tooth extraction, braces, root canal treatment etc., while routine treatments include cleaning, plaque removal, X-rays, etc.

People today care more about their teeth and image than they did few decades ago. With wide television coverage nowadays on cosmetic dentistry, having a good-looking smile has become even more important. Dental insurance plan is a good way to reduce the impact of dental treatment especially for large families. Almost 55% of Americans are covered by dental plans.

Insurance plan for dental treatments is coverage for individuals to protect them against the high cost of dental treatments, and is usually included in health insurance. For this plan the individual has to pay a monthly premium to the insurance company. The insurance company then provides the cost of medicines and treatment procedures to the individual for a specified period. Usually the period is limited to one year. The insurance has to be renewed after the period. The premium set by the company usually increases year by year. For sicker and older individuals the premium is higher than for healthier individuals, which has been a cause of controversy and debate in the western world. The premiums range from 15$ a month to 70$ a month depending upon the type of insurance plan taken and the health of the individual.

Dental insurance plan usually involves a lot of health records, age records, screening and paper work. The insurance company tries to avoid adverse selection. Adverse selection means people with poor dental health who are more likely to opt for dental insurance plans than healthier people. This increases the insurance cost to the insurance company. Most individual dental insurance plans require a waiting period before having any major or minor restorative work done. However there are annual limits to the cost of treatment that one individual can claim under dental ainsurance plans.

When the employer provides employer dental insurance plan then it works out better than discount dental plans opted by individuals. However the trend of employers providing insurance plans is on the decrease.

Dental insurance plans help improve the dental health of individuals as they are paying premiums and hence opt for dental treatment. Employer dental insurance plan is more common and less costly than the individual insurance plan.

Cheap Auto Insurance Quotes - Tips For Getting The Lowest Rate

Finding auto insurance quotes online is easy, but finding the cheapest auto insurance rates can be more of a challenge. To get the lowest quotes, follow these tips to help you find ways to trim possibly hundreds off your auto insurance quotes.

1. Give them details – If you don’t provide information about your zip code, marital status, car’s safety features, and annual commuting miles, by default insurance companies will quote you a higher auto insurance rate. Provide as much detail as possible to make sure you get each discount that you qualify for.

2. Shop around – Auto insurance rates can vary as much as 300% between companies for the same coverage. You can save hundreds of dollars a year by comparing prices between companies. Don’t forget to check out your current insurance company, they may have lower rates for new customers that you may be able to negotiate for yourself.

3. Raise your deductible – Higher deductibles equal lower insurance premiums. For example, increasing your deductible from $250 to $500, can save you a hundred dollars or more on your annual premium. However, plan on having additional financial resources to cover the deductible in case of an accident.

4. Cut the miles you drive – For drivers who travel on average 40 miles or less a day, they qualify for a low mileage discount with most insurance companies. Consider carpooling or taking public transit a couple of days a week to reduce your car’s mileage to qualify for the discount. By flying or taking a train for vacations instead of driving, you can further reduce the miles on your car.

5. Switch drivers – For married couples, compare insurance quotes between the male as the main driver and the female as the main driver. You may get a lower quote if the female is insured on a truck and the male is insured on the minivan. Teens should also be insured on safer cars such as the family sedan, rather than a sports car.

6. Add an anti-theft device – By installing car alarms or a tracking system in your car, you will get a discount from auto insurance companies. Since anti-theft devices reduce the risk of your car being stolen, insurance companies pass on the savings to you. A certified defensive-driving class can also reduce your premium for three years with most insurance companies.

Important Things you need to know about Home Fire Insurance! by Ito Nakamura

Home is where you and your family enjoy comfort, privacy and peace of mind. What one company may consider a high risk factor another company may not view as so important. Insurance companies arrive at a price for your car insurance by adding or discounting money after each answer you give to the questions they ask you. Each company has its own rules as to what they consider should increase or decrease your premium. By shopping around you get a better list of prices to compare.2.Buy a lower group carOne of the important factors that insurance companies take into account is of course your vehicle. There are thousands of different cars on the road so companies divide them up into groups. Most companies will adopt the ABI (Association of British Insurers) group rating. This splits up vehicles into 20 different groups. Generally speaking the higher the group rating for your vehicle, the higher your premium will be. Some companies may also combine your driving experience with the vehicle group to get a better idea of how high the risk is. This is one of the reasons why young drivers should consider buying a lower group car if they want to lower their insurance cost.3.Consider Third Party Only coverA Third Party Only insurance policy is the minimum amount of cover legally required - it is also the cheapest. Generally speaking you should consider opting for this type of policy if your vehicle is of low value. In the unfortunate event of having an accident, any damage to a third party vehicle will be covered but any damage to your vehicle is not. However, if your vehicle is of little value then you may not be too concerned. It may not be worth paying extra for a Fully Comprehensive policy in these circumstances.4.Maintain a good credit ratingMore and more insurance companies are adopting credit scoring techniques as part of the overall calculation of your car insurance premium. By keeping a good credit history you may avoid any additional premium that companies add to your price for having a bad credit score.5.Buy on the webMany insurance providers now offer some good discounts for buying the policy over the internet. The theory is that by purchasing your insurance over the web, you are saving the company money by not requiring telesales agent time and incurring free-phone costs. This saving is passed on to you in the form of a discount for buying online. If you have got prices by telephone then check your quote again on their website, you may be surprised at how much cheaper it is.6.Have a higher voluntary excessDuring the quotation process you will be asked how much voluntary excess you want to have. Insurance companies will generally include a compulsory excess amount on the policy but give you the opportunity to increase this if you wish. The more the voluntary excess the lower your premium should be. However, in the event of a claim, you will have to pay a higher amount yourself, up to the total amount of excess on your policy.7.Reduce your annual mileageHow many miles you do a year is a common question that can affect your car insurance premium. The more miles you do the more your premium is likely to be. Quotation systems and telephone agents will often suggest an amount of miles for you. Try and work out how many miles you will genuinely do. It may be less than the amount suggested. Of course, you should always give an honest answer to this and other questions.8.Keep a clean driving recordThis may be easier said than done. However, by having few or preferably no driving convictions, you can avoid being penalised by increases in your car insurance premium. Getting caught with a speeding fine is often not the only financial penalty you incur. Insurance companies take very seriously all driving convictions and it is usually an important part of their rating process. You can expect an increase in the cost of your insurance if you do get caught with a driving conviction, so it pays to be a safe driver.9.Keep claim freeThis ties in neatly with number 8 above. The biggest factor affecting the cost of your car insurance premium is how many No Claims Bonus Years you have. Full No Claims Bonus is generally considered by most companies to be five years or more, this can give you huge discounts, in some cases up to 75%. By being a safe driver and avoiding potential road accident claims, you can continually benefit by building up your number of claim free years. Every additional No Claims Bonus year you get, the lower your car insurance cost should be. Some companies give you the option of paying a bit more on your premium to protect your No Claims Bonus.10.Be realistic about the value of your carMost of us have an inflated view as to what our car is worth. When asked the value of your vehicle during the insurance quotation process, people will often state an amount that is unrealistic and above the real value of the car. People do this as they believe that this is what they will get back from the insurance company in the event of a claim. The reality is that the company will only pay out what the car is worth at the time of the claim and not what you stated for the quote. In fact, by giving a high and unrealistic value, you can increase your car insurance premium as this is often a factor affecting your final price.11.Remove unnecessary named driversAdditional drivers on your policy usually mean a higher premium. A lot of people add a number of extra drivers on the policy just in case that person needs to drive the car. However, having all these drivers will push up the cost. By only naming drivers on the policy that will definitely driver the car, you can lower the final cost. If you find that an unnamed driver needs to drive the vehicle then most companies will allow you to temporarily add a new named driver for a small cost.12.Improve your car securityTheft of and from your vehicle are important considerations when insurance companies calculate your price. Most companies will give you a discount for having better security of your vehicle. An alarm and immobiliser will usually attract a small discount whilst having a tracker device installed may give you a larger reduction. Some companies may insist on having such devices installed on more expensive and desirable cars before they even consider offering you a price.13.Take an advanced driving testAlthough not compulsory, taking an advanced driving test can not only improve your driving skills but also help to lower your car insurance premium. Some companies look favourably on people who have taken the advanced test as it shows commitment to safe driving thus lowering the chance of having a motoring accident.14.Pay your premium in one goBy paying for your car insurance all in one go, you can avoid paying additional interest charges that would be added on if you opted to pay by instalments. The interest charges can be quite significant, so if your finances allow, you can save a good amount of money by paying for the whole lot up front. In some cases, companies may even give you a small discount for doing this.15.Get marriedOkay so this may seem like a dramatic final way to lower your premium. However, a number of insurance companies offer lower premiums when your named drivers are insured and spouse as opposed to two unmarried drivers. Some companies believe that this shows an element of stability which is a hallmark of safer drivers and give you a discount on this basis.

Bread, Milk and Car Insurance by Andrew Bowen

With increased competition between supermarkets to gain market share and improve profitability, the range of products on offer is getting ever diverse. Now, the big three chains, Tesco, Sainsbury's and Asda have caught on to the fact that their brand name can sell just about anything, including of all things, car insurance. Car insurance is one of those very boring expensive products that you loathe having to pay for but have no choice if you want to drive a car on Britain's roads. Why therefore would supermarkets want to be associated with such a seemingly expensive pain in the pocket? Well it seems that the public think it's a great idea and are buying it from these stores in their thousands with the belief that it must cheap if the supermarkets are selling it. The strange thing is that the companies behind these deals, who are actually underwriting the risk on you having a car accident, are the same companies who have been selling you car insurance for years. Tesco for example seem to be incredibly successful in selling motor insurance to their customers with statements proclaiming that you could save up to £150 compared to some leading insurers. Tesco of course is not an insurer. If you look closely at the bottom of the Tesco car insurance webpage, you will notice it says that the policy is provided and underwritten by a company called UK Insurance Limited. Who on earth is this company you may ask. UK Insurance Limited is part of Royal Bank of Scotland who also own Direct Line along with Churchill and Privilege. Sainsbury's state that you could save up to £165 on your car insurance compared to other leading insurers - £15 better than Tesco. Of course, like Tesco, Sainsbury's is not an insurer either. A quick look at their webpage shows that policies are arranged and administered by Esure, who are part of the Halifax Bank of Scotland group. Maybe Sainsbury's are about to swap Jamie Oliver for Michael Winner - maybe not. Asda state that they give you the "very best possible insurance protection" and offer a 10% discount if you buy online. Of course, just like Tesco and Sainsbury's, Asda is not an insurer. Asda have opted to team up with Norwich Union to provide their policies. The insurers are desperate to get into bed with the Supermarkets. It enables them to dress up their car insurance product with an already well known and trusted brand name. This is good business and a smart way to gain lots of new customers very quickly. Ironically though, some of those 'new' customers may already be with that insurer. Without knowing it, they may end up cancelling or not renewing their existing policy but staying with the same insurance company via the cheaper supermarket option. From a customer perspective, the upshot of all this will hopefully be to get cheaper car insurance, which at the end of the day is what everybody wants. Who the insurer is behind the deal is probably not of great concern to people. In the long term, whether the actual underwriting results of these deals are profitable enough for the insurers to continue to offer the supermarkets good rates for their customers, will be interesting. One thing is for sure, I don't see Direct Line advertising bananas six for a pound anytime soon. Put simply, if you have had car insurance for 4 years and you have not made a claim in that time, then you have 4 years No Claims Bonus. No Claim Bonus is probably the single biggest factor affecting the cost of your Car Insurance premium. Every year that goes by without you making a claim is another year of No Claims Bonus.
Generally speaking, the more No Claims Bonus years you have, the cheaper your premium will be for the car you need to insure. This is because Car Insurance companies can see that your history regarding making any car accident claim is a good one.
When changing provider, Car Insurance companies will usually ask you to prove your No Claims Bonus in the form of a renewal notice or a letter from your current Car Insurance company. If you have several years of No Claims Bonus but then make a claim, the Car Insurance company will usually apply it's rules of how much to knock back your No Claims Bonus Years. Some companies such as Accept Direct http://www.acceptdirect.co.uk offer to protect your No Claims Bonus for an extra fee during the quotation process. Having full no claims bonus can also entitle you up to 75% discount on your car insurance premium.

Young Driver Car Insurance by Andrew Bowen

It has become increasingly difficult to get young driver car insurance in the UK. The reason behind this is because the statistics for young drivers having a car accident are not very good. By definition, young drivers have very little experience of driving and thus have a greater chance of having a bump in their vehicle. Car insurance companies are obviously in business to make money and are understandably reluctant to insure such drivers. In most cases, companies will either offer a policy at a very high premium or refuse to insure the person altogether.
However, there are ways to lower your premium. First of all you should purchase a car that has a low insurance group number. Insurance group numbers range from 1 - 20. Generally speaking the higher the number the higher your premium is likely to be. This is because cars with high insurance group numbers usually have bigger engines, are more expensive and go faster. A low insurance group vehicle will lower the premium for a young driver policy. Young drivers should also be encouraged to take an advanced driving test. Some companies look favourably on drivers who take this test as they are seen as more responsible and more careful about their driving. Finally, opting for third party fire and theft or third party only cover also lowers your quote. If you have purchased a vehicle that does not cost very much money then you should seriously consider whether or not you need a fully comprehensive policy.
Getting cheaper quotes for young drivers can still be tricky. However, Accept Direct have a special option that is aimed at this particular market and can save you a lot of money on your insurance quote.
Copyright (c) 2006 Accept Direct Limited

mobile phone insurance from covermymobile by s thomas

www.covermymobile.co.uk is a uk mobile phone insurance website selling instant mobile phone insurance cover from as little as £5.99 per month. the site also offers ipod, laptop, psp, pda and satnav insurance. so go ahead and take a look after all its your mobile life you could have peace of mind in no time at all.

Term Life Insurance Prices - Factors That Can Affect The Quotes You Get by Larry Washington

Shopping for the most reasonable term life insurance prices is what you should always do in your search for life insurance. You want to do all you can to get the absolute lowest price out there.
While this is common practice among every individual, some things you just won't be able to have an influence on. Term life insurance rates are one of them. This also goes for universal, whole, and many other life insurance options available to you.
You see, each and every single household and family member will have a unique situation that will affect the outcome of the life insurance quote granted. Some of these factors include but are not limited to:
- Age- Smoker vs. Non-smokers- Current health conditions- State of residency- And many others
If you have certain conditions that can make your life insurance rates higher than the norm, don't reconsider your choice for getting life insurance. Even if you're paying two times more than the average consumer, the coverage you get will far surpass the premiums being paid.
Now that you understand consumers don't have a significant influence on life insurance rates, I'm going provide a couple examples of certain conditions that will have an impact on the quotes you receive.
The two conditions that can sway life insurance prices are high blood pressure and cholesterol. These two conditions are on top of the list when it comes to cardiovascular disease.
The huge percentages of deaths are contributed by these two conditions alone. This is why many life insurance companies will want to know the current status of your blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
The more these numbers fall outside of what's considered healthy, the more of a risk it is to cover you as a policy holder. This is what can cause you to pay higher premiums versus another person with healthier blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
Weight is another important factor all life insurance companies look at when determining the best rate for your family. This is also something that many people have no control over even through proper eating and exercise. This could easily be caused by hereditary traits past down from generation to generation.
Don't be worried about not getting the best rate if your health isn't a 10/10 on the rating scale. You may end up paying higher premiums due to not being in the best of health, but the investment is still minimal compared to the benefits of it all.
You should also remember that it's vital to get coverage now and not a moment later because the sooner you get it the better.
Also, the younger you are the better because companies see youthful individuals as a lower risk to insure compared to older people that might suffer from age related ailments.
In all, the best things you can do is live life to the fullest and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Be sure to schedule routine checkups with your doctor and follow-up on health recommendations that are given. This can help you in your search for getting the best term life insurance prices for you and your family!

What Is The Medical Coverage On Your Auto Policy? by Geoff Spencer

You never know when a car accident will occur, they happen when you least suspect it. If you are ever injured in a car accident, the last thing you need is to have problems with your insurance coverage. Sometimes insurance is hard to understand and you may not be sure what is covered and what is not. That is why it is a good idea to carry medical coverage on your car insurance. This type of insurance will cover you for any injury you get from a car accident, so you can have peace of mind knowing that your medical needs are covered.
The medical coverage on your car insurance policy will most likely cover everyone in your car at the time of the accident. If you receive injury the medical coverage will pay for your expenses for medical treatment you receive at the scene as well as future treatments you may need such as physical therapy treatments. It doesn't matter who was at fault, your medical coverage kicks in as long as you received injury as a direct result of the accident. Medical expenses can quickly add up to a huge expense when you figure the cost of the ambulance, emergency room treatment, x-rays, hospital stay and then rehab if needed. Some insurance policies will also help with long term care if needed. In addition, some policies may help with things like child care costs if you need to hire child care due to your accident.
If you do not have medical coverage on your auto policy, and you are injured in a car accident, you will have to rely on your regular health insurance policy. Some policies might limit the amount they pay for auto accidents since health care costs incurred from accidents can run so high. Also personal health policies generally require co-pays and deductibles which will add to your out of pocket expense.
If you don't have health insurance then it is even more important to have medical coverage on your auto insurance. You just never know when a car accident will happen, they are never expected. You or your family could be injured at any time. Just because you think you are a safe driver, you still have to consider that another car on the road may be driven by someone who has been drinking or is distracted and not driving safely. Whether the accident is your fault or not, you will still have huge medical bills.
